Falling Drops

There Is Nothing Permanent Except Change It's inevitable, I understood, It happened when I dreaded it the most. It took away all I got used to, And in turn, gave me knowledge, That nothing is permanent except change. Image credit : Unsplash I ran and ran but it followed me everywhere, Chanting 'Embrace me don’t escape me.' It came every time taking my comfort with it, Leaving in its wake dread and uneasiness. I tried to escape but got caught in the calls, Of voices that said let's change it all. I lowered my defences and let it in, To let the world know that I am not afraid. And instead of dread, I felt comfort, And with it came knowledge, That nothing is permanent except change. Now I live the change, I breathe the change, In fact, I change the change.
